Antique c1920s Robbing Peter to Pay Paul Hand Quilted Quilt 63x83 READ
Antique cotton quilt in the traditional Robbing Peter to Pay Paul pattern, also associated with Orange Peel and Drunkard’s Path designs. Features a muted teal leafy print with cream fabric and detailed hand quilting. Estimated to date from approximately the 1920s–1930s.
A small metal tag with a handwritten number is attached at one corner, possibly an old laundry or inventory tag.
The color shows best in the 2nd photo under bright light. The up-close photo shows the nice hand stitching as well.
READ Condition:
Structurally sound with no holes or rips noticed. Heavily stained and discolored from storage, as shown. It was gently soaked in a bathtub solution, which released some staining, but substantial staining remains. No unpleasant odor. Please review all photos carefully.
