Striking Art Deco porcelain figurine depicting a stylish lady with her dog, executed in a bold red, black, and white palette with strong geometric influence typical of the 1920s period.
The figure is beautifully modeled, with an elongated silhouette, sharply tailored coat, and expressive posture that captures the sophistication and modernity associated with early Art Deco design. The accompanying dog adds charm and movement to the composition, enhancing its display appeal.
The underside bears a crown over “R” mark with cursive script, along with an impressed model number. This type of crowned monogram is consistent with German porcelain production of the early 20th century, particularly decorative figural work of the Art Deco era.
A sticker on the base indicates attribution to the Barbra Streisand collection. Streisand is known to have sold portions of her personal property and collections through major sales, including a large Christie’s sale in 1999 featuring hundreds of items from her homes and continues to sell pieces through different venus. While this specific attribution is not independently documented, the presence of the label adds an interesting and desirable provenance element. this did come from a nice Vegas sale house, and was one of the only items with such a sticker.
