\"is from the late Early Dynastic to early Akkadian period around 2400 BCE and made of black limestone.\" comment from an expert in ancient seals. Iraq: Cylinder Seal 7th or 8th Century B.C.This seal appears to depict a hunting scene with stylized stags, a tree and an object of unknown nature possibly a snare. It is rare to find a hunter depicted alone as in the seal. My grandparents were stationed in the middle east from 1955 till 1964 and collected artifacts. Labels are by them.
