The Rose Bud Album, published by Leavitt & Allen NY, 1859. Contains a few engravings, but mostly had blank pages to add autographs and souvenirs.
About 7 x 5 inches; 62 pages.
In used condition. Hinges cracked. The last page and the back free end paper are detached. Some of the entries are faded, or the ink has run. Besides the entries, there are pictures of flowers, angels, etc. pasted in. Cover is embossed leather; edges and corners are rubbed; spine is very rubbed. Some of the gilt on cover decoration has worn away.
The name written in at the front is Miss Mary A. Egan.
Not all entries are dated, but those with dates are from 1868, 1872, 1874, 1876, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, and 1887.
