Description
The Benchmade 890 Torrent was designed by custom knifemaker Ken Steigerwalt, a respected maker known for clean, functional, and refined designs. Steigerwalt has collaborated with Benchmade on several models, and the Torrent stands out as one of his most successful production pieces.
Introduced in 2009, the Torrent combined Steigerwalt’s elegant handle contours and blade shape with Benchmade’s Nitrous Assist system, creating a fast, reliable “gentleman’s tactical” EDC. The model remained in the Blue Class lineup until it was discontinued around 2017.
This 890SBK version features the black-coated partially serrated 154CM blade that many collectors prefer.
