Stunning primitive bowl. From the Estate Sale of Esther P. A primitive burl oak-walnut cherry (?) medium warm caramel color with slight hues slight,slight wooden red. I believed it was waxed at one point in the 19th C. The colors and the grain of this hand carved wooden burl bowl. You must be seen as pictures do not do it justice. It measures 15 inches in Diameter and just under 4 inches in height slanting to a smooth beautiful, beautiful center. A burl bowl with a beautiful grainy rim that is 1 inch.. It was appraised as turn of the 19th C or older when I found it at the sale. Believed to be made in Mass. or NH. American Folk Art at its best.
