This appealing hand-colored lithograph postcard depicts Market Street in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, labeled on the front as \'Market Street, 1, Bloomsburg, PA.\' The scene showcases a stately, tree-lined boulevard with mature shade trees forming a lush canopy over the sidewalk. A solitary figure stands on the walk in the midground, while an elegant columned building is visible at left and additional civic architecture appears in the distance at right. The warm, summery color palette gives the card a pleasant, small-town charm typical of early 20th-century American streetscape views. This is a divided back printed postcard produced by A. M. Kirby & Co., consistent with the Divided Back era (1907–1915). The card stock and hand-applied coloring are in keeping with the lithographic printing style common to this period. Catalog number A-22176 is printed on the reverse. The card was posted on June 9, 1914, from Greenville, PA, and addressed to Mrs. Dr. A. W. Baker of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. The handwritten message in flowing cursive from \'Lois McBride\' relays travel plans, adding a charming personal and social history element to this piece. The postmark and one-cent domestic postage rate are clearly legible. Condition is Very Good overall. The card displays light age toning and minor edge wear consistent with its 110+ year age. No tears, significant creases, or foxing are noted. A nice example for collectors of Pennsylvania topographical cards, Columbia County history, or early 20th-century small-town Americana.
