Beautiful Bombay Company chinoiserie table lamp in a dramatic black and antiqued gold finish, dating to approximately 2002.
The lamp features richly decorated Asian-inspired motifs throughout. The tall column is embellished with gold foliage and butterflies, while the four-sided pedestal base depicts charming chinoiserie scenes including pagodas/pavilions, birds, flowers and stylized landscapes. Layered gilt borders, decorative ball feet and an ornate gold-tone finial complete the design.
The lamp retains its Bombay-marked socket as well as the underside Bombay Oriental Accents, Inc. label. The electrical safety label is dated 05/02.
Includes the shaped fabric shade shown, finished with coordinating vertical trim and braided edging.

Socket accepts a standard Type A bulb and is labeled for a maximum 100W bulb. The socket is a 3-way style. Lamp has been tested and is working. [Once you test all three levels with a 3-way bulb, I’d change that last sentence to “3-way function tested and working.”]
Condition:
Good pre-owned condition with age-appropriate wear. There are scattered small rubs, nicks and areas of finish loss to the black and gilt surfaces, including a small nick on the upper column. A fine vertical age/separation line is visible on one side of the decorated square pedestal. Shade shows light pre-owned wear. These details are shown in the photographs and do not detract from the lamp’s strong decorative presence.
