Rare Traditional Yabusame Sword Scabbard Cover Imported from JapanA pristine, brand new Shirizaya (traditional sword sheath cover) imported directly from a traditional Japanese artisan.During Feudal Japan, the Shirizaya was worn exclusively by high-ranking samurai, generals, and Yabusame (mounted archers). It slides over the lower half of a Tachi sword scabbard to protect the lacquerwork from the elements and to prevent the scabbard from striking the horse's flanks during a ride. Exotic pelts were favored by warlords to project power, and this piece replicates that elite aesthetic using high-quality faux white leopard fur. The fur was inspired by the “Heavenly Falcon” sword kit in the game Ghost of Tsushima. This is the ultimate functional display upgrade for a traditional Tachi mounting or a historical samurai armor display.
