As solid as a fixed blade with the (G&G) Hawk SLS locking system.
The SLS (Strong Lock System) on a knife was developed by Grant and Gavin Hawk and is a proprietary locking mechanism for the Buck Marksman. While Michael Walker is credited with inventing the modern liner lock, the SLS is a different locking system, a strong locking blade that engages securely when fully opened, offering the strength of a fixed blade.

The blade steel is 154CM which is hard to come by nowadays, it's real cold rolled steel, not materialistic sprayed CPM154...MUCH Tougher and won't snap like sprayed steel!
The lock mechanism is fully adjustable in tension using the included Buck tool for this knife!

This is Bucks only gravity knife! And it's legal because it does have a detent holding the blade. If you Utube this knife you will see it has a detent to overcome of around 1Lb compared to most other flipper mechanism of 3-4Lbs. Once you defeat this 1 Lbs
detent the blade swings effortlessly with Zero interference! Both opening and closing...
