Vintage 1940's Era Pyrex Flame Ware Double Boiler. The ones with the wooden handles were produced during World War II, between 1941-1946, so that the metal they would normally use could be donated to the War effort. The handles each have a screw and a nut, and can be easily removed for deep cleaning.
This 3 piece set stands 8" tall when assembled. The top pot holds 6 cups, the bottom 8 cups. The glass has a gray tint to it, except for the lid, which is clear. The wooden handles are 5" long, and are in very good condition, consistent with use & wear.
NOTE: The wood handles are not recommended for use anymore. They are over 80 years old, and may be hazardous to the person using the pot. I would consider this item, in its present condition, to be used as a 'collectible' item only.
The wood bands are a little loose. The glass is in super nice, clear condition with no problems. kt
