LONG WAVE & SHORT WAVE UV
Good sized cleaved Calcite specimen that fluoresces nicely. White in color with gray at one end it is also nicely translucent. Though mainly a block of Calcite there are other minerals included but difficult to find in regular daylight, but under the UV light the various colors suggest their presence. I am assuming Sphalerite is one of the inclusions.
It fluoresces bright white and a yellow-orange under 365nm long wave UV (photos 2,5,8).
Under 254nm short wave also white with red and orange but not as brightly as long wave (photos 1,4,7)
