Chalkware Style Santa Claus Christmas Figurine 9.5" Vintage Look Hand Painted For Sale

Wonderful chalkware style composite Santa Claus figurine measuring approximately 9-1/2" tall. This piece has heft and weight and looks very much like chalkware but I have no provenance for it. It has a felted bottom and where a small edge has lifted away, it looks like chalkware but as I am not an expert, it could be some type of heavy composite. The only markings I can find is a scripted "P" near the bottom of the back of the base. This handsome Santa is carrying an undecorated Christmas tree over his shoulder and a bundle of toys under this other arms. He is dressed in traditional red with fur trim and has a holly sprig on his hat. Appears to be all hand painted.
