The verso Acme distribution stamp and credit line are lightly inked in places but fully legible, and the SEP 26 1933 date stamp is bold and clear. The original newspaper caption clipping remains affixed to the back with only minor edge separation.A printer's "HALFTONE" identification tag is adhered to the lower front edge of the photo, partially torn, a common production-era marking rather than damage from handling.Along the right edge of the image, a newspaper picture editor whited out part of the background by hand, a standard period technique used to isolate the subject for cleaner halftone reproduction in print, visible today as a rough white patch rather than photographic damage.Light corner bumping and a faint period smudge in the upper right corner of the front are also present.
