Early stereoview of the Union Stock Yards Transit House Hotel-Chicago, Illinois c.1860's. Finished in 1854, it was originally named the "Hough House" after Colonel Rosell M. Hough, an early pioneer of Chicago's cattle and meat packing trade. Photographer not cited. Stereoview images and card show soiling/staining, fading, surface wear, edge wear, material loss and slight cupping. Card measures 6-1/8"L x 3-1/8"W. Condition as shown. No odor.
