The "Black Hawk Brigade" is the name of the 3rd ROTC Brigade. It is a U.S. Army Cadet Command organization based at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and it is in charge of Army ROTC programs in the Midwest, encompassing Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and parts of Michigan. The brigade's main goals are to train leaders, set up competitive Ranger Challenges, and get cadets ready to become officers.
