Original Walt Disney production animation cel from the 1977 animated feature The Rescuers, featuring Rufus, Orville, Bernard and Miss Bianca.
This is an actual production-used Disney cel and retains its original Disneyana / Walt Disney Collectibles certificate on the reverse. The certificate identifies the characters as “Rufus, Orville, Bernard and Bianca” and states that the cel “was used in the production of the 1977 feature ‘The Rescuers.’” Certificate/reference number 0157-40035.
The multi-character setup features a large image of Orville with Rufus and Bernard/Bianca also represented. A handwritten signature/marking is visible on the artwork; signer has not been independently identified and no attribution is being made.
The piece remains in its older framed presentation measuring approximately 21” x 18” overall.
IMPORTANT CONDITION: The cel artwork and painted characters appear substantially intact and display well; however, the piece has experienced significant age/storage-related condition issues. There is visible staining, spotting and discoloration to the presentation/background, matting, backing and certificate, consistent with prior moisture exposure. Additional wear is present to the frame. The nature and extent of any moisture/mold involvement have not been professionally evaluated. Please examine all photographs closely. Sold as found and has not been cleaned, restored or removed from its original framed assembly.
