Here we have anEARLY Vintage BUCK BROS. Lot of 6 Bevel Edge THIN PROFILE Dovetail - Paring Chisels.Buck Brothers was formed in 1853 by John,Charles and Richard T. Buck in Rochester, NY, after immigrating from Englandand working for D. R. Barton. In 1856,they moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, then in 1864 to Millbury, MA. John stayed in Worcester as part of Buck& Reeves, later rejoining Buck Brothers as only an employee. Their edgetools are considered to be of the highest quality. This set of incrementally sized chisels are all maker marked. You get 3/4\", 7/8\", 1\", 1-1/4\", 1-1/2\", & 2\" wide chisels. The chisels are inVery Good \'used tool\' condition with some wear from use. The 1-1/2\" chisel has a very slight bend in the blade (see pic). Handles have brass ferrules and leather impact rings.
