EX 1920s Automatic Electric Chicago Bakelite Desk Telephone w/Rare Chrome Cradle For Sale

Up for sale is this early 1920's Automatic Electric Inc. black Monophone Bakelitelowboy desk telephone made in Chicago IL USA.This includes the original cord, which would have had a Mallory Yaxleyplug on the end of the cord (the plug is not included). The metal maker plate at the top of the cradlealso reads, “PATENTS ISSUED AND PENDING” with no specific patent numberslisted. This has the very rare CHROME metal cradle, which is in very good condition for its age. The chrome is still bright and shiny with minimal imperfections.The original rotary dial has large black numbers on a clean white background with no letters next to the dial numbers. The original paper center insert on the dial isstill present. Classic early 20thcentury art-deco design in very good condition.Please see the pictures for more details as to condition.
