Early Stanley No 45 Combination Plane Rosewood Handle Antique Woodworking Tool
Early Stanley No. 45 Combination Plane featuring the desirable rosewood tote and ornate cast-iron body. Marked “STANLEY” and “No. 45” on the casting.
This plane was acquired from an estate sale and is being sold exactly as found. The body appears to have been painted at some point in its life, and there is wear, oxidation, scratches, and age-related patina throughout. We have not attempted to clean, restore, or disassemble the plane.
Based on our inspection, the plane appears to include the main body, fence assembly, guide rods, and installed cutter. However, it does not include the original storage case or the additional cutter/blade set typically found with complete Stanley No. 45 combination planes. Buyers should carefully review all photos and make their own determination regarding completeness and condition.
The rosewood tote remains attached and displays attractive color and character. A desirable antique Stanley woodworking tool suitable for collection, restoration, display, or use.
