History of the Collection
The VIDA ("Life") Collection was created through a collaboration between Eva Mendes and España Lifestyle. Introduced around 2012–2014, the collection drew inspiration from Mendes' Cuban roots, family gatherings, and the vibrant colors found throughout Caribbean and Latin American culture.
Unlike many mass-produced dinnerware lines, VIDA pieces were designed to feel artistic and handcrafted. The raised patterns, saturated colors, and folk-art influences helped distinguish the collection from contemporary minimalist tableware trends of the era.
Today, many VIDA patterns have been retired, making complete matching sets increasingly sought after by collectors, entertainers, and fans of colorful eclectic décor.
