This vintage chrome postcard captures a classic Florida sunset scene, featuring silhouetted palm trees in the foreground against a brilliant golden sky reflected across calm ocean waters. Two small boats are visible on the horizon, completing this quintessential tropical tableau. The color photograph was taken by Robert Freund and published by Florida Natural Color, Inc. of Miami, Florida. Published by Koppel Color Cards of Hawthorne, New Jersey, catalog number FG-34 / 8431. The card is a standard divided back chrome postcard from the 1960s era, consistent with the 6-cent Franklin D. Roosevelt U.S. postage stamp affixed to the reverse. The postmark is partially legible, appearing to reference Grosse Pointe, Michigan. The reverse features a handwritten message in green ink from travelers identifying themselves as Lou and Claire, addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Martin at 543 Ashland Ave., Baldwin, New York. They cheerfully describe enjoying Florida\'s 80-degree weather, swimming, shopping, eating out, and the bliss of no housework — a charming snapshot of mid-century vacation life. Condition is Very Good. There is a postmark impression visible on the front of the card (typical of postal handling), slight corner wear, and the message side is clean and fully legible. A delightful piece for collectors of Florida postcards, vintage travel ephemera, or mid-century Americana.
