The ZRAK Sarajevo RD 7x40 is a highly regarded,military-grade binocular originally manufactured in the former Yugoslavia.Developed by the defense company ZRAK Sarajevo, its design is heavily rooted inCold War history. It was built under license as a heavy-duty adaptation of thefamous Carl Zeiss Jena DF 7x40 binoculars used by East German forces.
They were widely issued to artillery officers andreconnaissance units of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) and later sawextensive combat use across various factions during the Balkan Wars of the1990s.
