PrincessViktoria Luise, (Victoria Louise), 1892 - 1980, was the only daughter and thelast child

of German Emperor Wilhelm II (1859-1941) and Empress AugustaVictoria (1858-1921).

Her 1913 weddingto Prince Ernest Augustus of Hanover was the largest gathering of reigning monarchs

in Germanysince German unification in 1871, and one of the last great social events ofEuropean royalty

before theFirst WordWar began fourteen months later.
