This charming early 1900s embossed Good Luck postcard features a gold wishbone adorned with a vibrant red grosgrain ribbon bow, with \'Good Luck\' lettered in bold green and gold on the front. The embossing gives the wishbone and ribbon a rich three-dimensional quality typical of quality greeting cards from this era. Published by T.P. & Co. of New York, this is a fine example of the ornate novelty greeting postcards popular in the Undivided Back era. The card was posted and addressed to Mr. Edwin Bourn at 148 Pennington Street, Tucson, Arizona, making it a piece with genuine Arizona postal history. A 1-cent green Benjamin Franklin stamp is affixed, and a readable postmark is present. The handwritten date \'5-29-01\' appears in pencil at the top of the front, though the postmark era suggests circa 1907. A pencil-written message on the front of the card reads: \'Mother tho ho... must be sick she hasent heard from you for so long,\' giving this card a warm personal narrative that adds to its charm and historical interest. Condition is Very Good overall. The card shows light aging and minor corner wear consistent with its age of well over 100 years. Writing on the front is in pencil and does not obscure the attractive illustration. The back is clean and the address is fully legible. A lovely addition to any wishbone, Good Luck, or early Arizona postal history collection.
