Vintage H.D. Smith Perfect Handle winged handle screwdriver, No. 5, measuring approximately 9” overall.
This has the distinctive winged Perfect Handle design with a solid, wood handle, and steel construction throughout the body. The wood handle shows substantial age and wear, but remains solid, and intact. There are no loose or shifting pieces/parts on the screwdriver as a whole. Overall, it is structurally sound and works well. The driver shaft has patina, a slight bend, & surface oxidation, as shown in the photos. The #5 marking is visible on the end. You can faintly make it the words “Perfect Handle” on the shaft.
