This listing is for a vintagehandled round covered bowl manufacturedand handpainted in Japan.It\'s a beautiful pattern featuring hand-painted flowers with gold banding and highlights.Thepiececame from a local estatesale that featurednumerous fine china collectibles. The blue backstamp is featured in the last picture.
Thepiece is in excellent shape with nochips, scratches,cracks, or crazing. The pattern is strong and the glaze still shines beautifully.The gold shows a moderate to at times heavy wear. There are two pinpoint-sized brownish blemish flea bites on the bowl that can be seen in the 3rd picture, but they don\'t detract much from the overall beauty of the piece.
I would personally classifythe pieceto be in \"Excellent\"condition. The bowl measures about 8 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle and the bowl is about 5 inches tall with the lid in place.
