Vintage Historical Calendar 1986, titled “The 80’s: 200 Years Ago,” published in 1985 by Myron Manufacturing Corporation and distributed as a promotional calendar by Physicians Mutual Insurance Company.
This substantial calendar and reference book combines a functional 1986 calendar with fascinating American history content, including historical articles, photographs, illustrations, portraits, and maps. It also includes advance planning pages for 1987, time zones and telephone area codes, important phone number pages, and other useful period reference material.
The original Physicians Mutual promotional letter is also included, making this a particularly nice piece of 1980s advertising and insurance ephemera.
The brown cover features gold-tone lettering and a patriotic eagle and shield design. The calendar appears very well preserved overall, with clean interior pages and unused personal information and planning sections.
