Impressive large-format panoramic photograph presenting an expansive early view of Hot Springs, Arkansas, including the downtown commercial district and several of the city\'s great resort-era hotels.

The panorama prominently shows the enormous Eastman Hotel at right and the second Arlington Hotel on the hillside toward center-left, along with downtown streets, commercial buildings, churches, pedestrians, horse-drawn traffic, utility poles, and the surrounding Ouachita hills.

The architectural evidence dates the view to 1893–1923, since the second Arlington was completed in 1893 and destroyed by fire in 1923. The appearance of the city suggests an approximate c. 1900–1915 date.

An especially striking document of Hot Springs during its famous turn-of-the-century period as one of America\'s leading spa and resort destinations.
