Rare original 26-photo snapshot archive documenting President John F. Kennedy’s June 1963 visit to West Germany and activity surrounding the presidential aircraft at Köln-Bonn Airport.
Offered as one intact estate-found photographic group.
The photographs include multiple views of the presidential Boeing VC-137C aircraft SAM 26000, including photographs clearly showing aircraft tail number 26000, the American flag tail marking and the Seal of the President of the United States.
Other photographs clearly show airport stairs marked KÖLN-BONN, aircraft arrival/departure activity, official automobiles, helicopter activity, security personnel, officials and members of the presidential entourage.
SAM 26000 is documented by the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force as the presidential aircraft that transported President John F. Kennedy to Germany in June 1963. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library documents Kennedy’s arrival and official activities in Bonn and Cologne on June 23, 1963. �
