Vintage Red Kokeshi Doll by Yamanaka Sanpei. This lovely vintage kokeshi doll was made and signed by master Yamanaka Sanpei (1926-2012).

Yamanaka Sanpei has received over 20 awards for his kokeshi dolls, including the prestigious "Prime Minister's Award" in 1979. Sanpei often draws inspiration for the design of kokeshi dolls from children.
In very good condition considering its age.
