This model reproduces a Toshiba-manufactured EF15 standard type (units 46-129) that was in service around 1978 at the Takasaki Second Locomotive Depot, characterized by its seven side windows, monitor roof, PS14 pantograph, and plate-type number.
The model realistically reproduces the details around the deck, which are characteristic of older electric locomotives, such as the diagonally positioned suspension springs and suspension links under the deck, which are unique to the EF15.
