Description
This solid silver ring dates to the Crusader occupation of the Holy Land during the 12th–13th century AD. The ring features a broad, flattened oval bezel and thick tapering shoulders, characteristic of medieval Levantine signet forms.
Unlike heraldic knightly rings bearing crosses or family devices, many Crusader-era rings were produced as plain signet types. These could serve as personal seals, devotional objects, or status markers. Some were intentionally left blank, while others may have once held soft engraving that has since worn smooth through centuries of use.
The heavy cast silver construction and simple medieval profile align with known ring typologies from the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem and surrounding territories during the Crusader period.
The piece retains a strong medieval presence and authentic surface wear consistent with age.
