country club and historic gated community
rather than a casino resort. It Opened in
1967, the property became a legendary
playground for Old Vegas icons,
entertainers, and mob figures like
Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Dean Martin,
and Moe Dalitz.
The club is famous for a real-life 1981
emergency landing by an FBI Cessna on the
golf course, which inspired a scene in Martin
Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino. A replica plane
now sits in the water hazard on hole 10.
