Beautiful hand-painted La Vie en Rose Limoges France porcelain hinged box designed as a heart-shaped box of chocolates.
The rich chocolate-brown exterior is decorated with repeated hand-painted “Je t’aime” (“I love you”) script and a striking red-and-gold ribbon and bow, giving the appearance of an elegant heart-shaped chocolate gift box.
The box opens to reveal three removable miniature porcelain chocolates, each individually decorated in a different confection style. The chocolates rest inside a gold-painted heart-shaped interior.
Finished with gold-tone metal mounts, double hinges and an especially charming dimensional bow-form clasp that coordinates with the painted ribbon.

Condition: Very nice pre-owned condition. No obvious chips or cracks observed in the photographs. All three removable porcelain chocolates are present. Hinges and bow clasp appear intact. Gold-tone metal fittings show light age-related patina/wear, and there are minor surface signs consistent with previous handling. Please review all photographs carefully as part of the condition description.
