Available for purchase is a collectible Lladrófigurine titled \"Elegant Trio\" (#6591). The Spanish name for this piece is \"Trio de Cisnes\". This magnificent porcelain sculpture features three large white swans arranged on a beautiful wood display base. Each swan was sculpted separately and attached to the base to form the \"elegant trio\". This figurine arrangement was sculpted by José Puche and has a glossy glaze finish. It was originally issued in 1999 and retired in 2002. This figurine last retailed for $675 new and has a current retail value of $875.This large Lladró figurine stands about 11 3/4\" tall (including the base) and measures approximately 16\" wide and 9 1/2\" deep. The wood base is thicker than any others I\'ve seen, measuring about 2 5/8\" thick. This thick base wasa custom Lladró presentation accessory designed to attach an engraved brass plaquefeaturing a personalized or commemorative message. There are 4 small screws on the front side for mounting a plaque, but no brass plaque is included (widely available online, if desired). The underside of the base has several holes for used to mount the individual swans and an extra hole to show the Lladró mark on one of the pieces. The mark is the one used from 1990 to present with the tracking code for the Lladró Assurance Program (LAP). I do NOT have the original box or any paperwork.If you\'re not already familiar with the Lladró company, it was founded during the 1950\'s in Valencia, Spain by three brothers. Juan, Jose, and Vicente Lladro created their own formula for porcelain paste and refined the production process. After studying at the Valencia School of Arts & Crafts, they started producing figurines in a backyard kiln and are now famous for creating some of the best porcelain in the world. Their style is unmistakable, and their figurines are prized by collectors worldwide.Condition of this Lladró figurine is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, or noticeable flaws. The wood base is also in great shape with some scratches underneath but none on the top side. As I mentioned previously, the front of the base has 4 mounting screws for a metal plaque, but no plaque is included. Overall, this figurine looks fantastic and displays beautifully.
