These are fantastic statement pieces. Each wall pocket is fabricated from folded copper sheet in a long, tapered geometric form, with a deep open top suitable for displaying dried florals, branches, grasses or other decorative arrangements. The unusual free-form wire hangers add another sculptural element and give the pair a wonderful Mid-Century Modern / Brutalist studio-craft presence.

The copper has developed a rich, naturally aged patina in shades of deep brown, russet, copper, gold and subtle verdigris. The variation is especially attractive and gives each piece its own character.

No maker's mark or signature was found. Construction appears artisan/studio made rather than mass produced; maker and exact date are unknown.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with substantial naturally developed oxidation, patina, spotting, surface variation and age-related wear throughout.
