This rustic handcrafted and sculpted container was found in a local estate sale. Its textured, design and markings looks to be from 1970\'s particularly the 8-pointed hand-painted pinwheel sun in the oval on each of its four sides. It is easily adapted to most ikebana schools that call for a raised or pedestal container as well as any free-style, floral arrangement for any season or occasion. We have found that tropical flowers and material go well with this container. We have found many ikebana containers from our travels in Japan and throughout the USA. They are displayed at home, used and lent for ikebana lessons, demonstrations and exhibitions. The first dozen and last picture were taken with a black felt background with workroom lighting and the pictures in between were taken in camera tent; the empty Asahi bottle is not for sale, but to illustrate the relative size of the container.
