Theseries pitted Napoleon Solo and the United Network Command for LawEnforcement against the sinister THRUSH. The original series neverdivulged what T.H.R.U.S.H. represented, but in several U.N.C.L.E.novels by David McDaniel, it is the Technological Hierarchy for theRemoval of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity.
Theseries starred Robert Vaughn, David McCallum and Leo G. Carroll, andfeatured a veritable Who's Who of dazzling guest stars, usually castas villains.
