Marlen is a high end pen manufacturer and this fountain pen is a small diameter, lightweight model with a steel nib. While this pen has never been formally inked, I did dip the pen to produce the writing example shown in the photos. It\'s my policy to always include a writing example for fountain pens that I sell on so that my customers can see for themselves exactly the type of line the nib produces as this tends to help clarify writing expectations.
This steel nib is a smooth writer with normal wetness, and to me, the line looks to be \"fine\". I used Waterman Serenity ink to make the writing example on Tomoe River 68g paper. After dipping the nib, I did clean with RO water. You would be purchasing the following:
