VINTAGE 1970 LOT OF 2 MARTHA MITCHELL PRESS PHOTOS. Both photographs are stamped 1970 on the back but there is an obvious age difference in the photos.
Martha Mitchell, wife of Attorney General John N. Mitchell was quoted on September 7, 1970 as stating the Vietnam war stinks and if it weren\'t for Sen. J. William Fulbright, We\'d be out of it. She made the blunt remark during a flight with the Presidential party back to Washington. Mitchell walked into the press section of the plane later and was asked if he\'d like to know what his wife had just said. Heavens no, he answered, I\'d jump straight out of the window.
