After the events of issue #2, Christine Palmer leaves Metro-General Hospital and takes a private-nursing job at isolated Sea-Cliff Manor on the New England coast. She is hired to care for wheelchair-bound Derek Porter. The mansion is filled with secret passages, mysterious lighthouse signals at night, and a series of near-fatal “accidents.” The gothic atmosphere builds until the shocking revelation that Derek can walk—and is running a drug-smuggling operation. The climax takes place on the same cliff shown on the cover.
Linda Carter (the original Night Nurse) makes a brief cameo/flashback appearance—her 4th appearance in the series.
