This is a beautiful, highly collectible find from a single-owner collection: an authentic, officially retired vintage "Lydia" reclining mermaid statue figurine from the classic Syrens of the Sea collection by Munro Enterprises (Model #SS616). Expertly hand-painted with an incredible fairytale aesthetic in 2004, this out-of-production sculpture is a hard-to-find addition for any mythical, coastal, or fantasy art gallery display.
The peaceful scene captures a graceful blonde mermaid named Lydia resting her head gently on her arm, beautifully posed reclining across a sandy seabed floor display base. Her spectacular tail is meticulously detailed with a vibrant pink-to-peach scaled pattern accented by flowing seaweed ribbons. The ocean terrain backdrop is richly sculpted with detailed lavender sea coral branches and features two tropical reef fish swimming alongside a hidden starfish and a sea snail shell.
The underside features the crisp, original blue-stamped Syrens of the Sea factory logo, full character name, and model number designation (Lydia SS616 © 2004 Munro Enterprises Inc.), along with its four original built-in white surface protection pads.
