• A Real Town, Not a Description: While \"Scenic\" sounds like a descriptive word for a nice view, it is actually the official name of the town. The town was founded along the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
• The 1940s Heyday: In the 1940s, Scenic wasn\'t the empty place it is today. It had a school, a church, a post office, a hotel, and local retail shops—including a grocery store—to serve local ranchers and travelers.
• What Happened to the Store: Over the decades, the railroad stopped running and people moved away, turning Scenic into a famous \"ghost town\". The entire 12-acre town site, including its historic stores, was bought by a neighboring church group in the 2010s.
