NEW OLD STOCK 1993 SHEAFFER FASHION II CADMIUM YELLOW FOUNTAIN PEN NEVER INKED For Sale

For your consideration, we are pleased to offer this circa 1993 Sheaffer White Dot Fashion II Fountain Pen, beautifully finished in Cadmium Yellow lacquer with 23K electroplated gold trim and fitted with a gold-plated stainless steel Medium nib. This example remains in Mint, New Old Stock, Never Inked condition and is complete with its original box, ink cartridge, and unused converter.
NOTE: The Sheaffer Fashion II came out in 1993 and was in production in the 1990s. This model shouldn't be confused with the early Fashion, thinner model. This Sheaffer Fashion II was designated as model #290.
The Cadmium Yellow lacquer finish is particularly attractive, displaying rich orange/yellow coloring with subtle marbling throughout the cap and barrel. The finish is beautifully complemented by the warm appearance of the 23K gold electroplated trim. The cap clip is appropriately marked “U.S.A. & SHEAFFER.” There are no monograms or personalizations, and the finish and trim remain exceptionally clean with no scratches, brassing, or visible wear.
The Sheaffer Fashion II measures approximately 5 3/8 inches capped, 6 3/16 inches posted, and weighs .98 ounces, giving it a comfortable and well-balanced size for everyday writing.
This Fashion II is fitted with a 23K gold-plated stainless steel Medium nib. The rear of the section is appropriately marked with a gold “M” for Medium. The nib has never been inked or dip-tested and remain in their original, untouched condition.
The pen accepts Sheaffer ink cartridges or the accompanying unused squeeze converter. One Sheaffer ink cartridge is included with the pen.
The original Sheaffer presentation box completes the offering, along with the unused converter and cartridge.
While the Fashion II itself is not necessarily a rare Sheaffer model, the Cadmium Yellow finish is considerably more difficult to encounter, particularly in this untouched New Old Stock condition. Finding one that has remained preserved with its original packaging makes this an especially appealing example for collectors of Sheaffer and vintage 1990s writing instruments.
A handsome and understated Sheaffer, this Fashion II offers an attractive combination of the distinctive Cadmium Yellow lacquer, 23K gold trim, classic White Dot styling, and pristine New Old Stock condition. Whether added to a Sheaffer collection or enjoyed as an everyday writer, it is a wonderful example of Sheaffer's later production and a pen that has been remarkably well preserved for more than three decades.
