Built around the identity of Navy SEAL Team TEN and 2 Troop, this circa-2015 challenge coin represents a highly specific element of the Naval Special Warfare community rather than a broad Navy or general SEAL design. SEAL Team TEN was established in 2002 as part of the expansion of the Navyβs East Coast SEAL forces, giving troop-specific pieces like this strong relevance for advanced Naval Special Warfare collections.
The Team TEN side centers a large 10 beneath the words SEAL TEAM and TEN, surrounded by ten stars and a braided rope-style border. Across the center is the recognizable SEAL warfare insignia composition incorporating the eagle, anchor, firearm, and trident, executed in raised metallic relief against deep blue and white enamel.
The reverse shifts dramatically to a red enamel field built around 2 Troop imagery. A winged skull and anchor dominate the center, crossed by a horizontal trident-style spear and surrounded by aggressive high-relief artwork. The contrast between the formal Team TEN face and the darker troop-level reverse gives this coin a visual identity that is unmistakably different from standard SEAL Team pieces.
