New Old Stock Vintage Sandvik 280 Crosscut and Rip Saw Pair - With Tags For Sale

This is a pair of New Old Stock vintage Standvik of Sweden, Cross Cut and Rip Saws. These are absolutely beautiful and have never been used. Sandvik 280 saws are a highly regarded piece of Swedish tool history. These mid-century (early 1950\'s based on their attributes) No. 280 plates feature some of the finest premium alloy charcoal steel ever produced for hand saws, built to hold a razor-sharp edge significantly longer than standard hardware store saws. The black composite, steel reinforced handles display the Viking dragon, and look great. The entire saw shines!
They sat on a shelf in an old store stock with other saws and had storage issues that won\'t effect the performance of the saw. One had rust at the tip, and both had oxidation marks (black spots), so I treated and removed the rust at the tip of the one saw. Other than that, I just cleaned off the dirt, and oiled them with 3-1 oil to conserve them. You can see the areas in the photos.
