This is a Nippon porcelain moriage gilded hand-paintedcovered sugar and creamer of green, cobalt blue, and gold. It has a gold borderof intertwined vine and cobalt blue flowers encircling all pieces. The Sugarmeasures 3-1/2 inches (8.9 cm) tall to top of lid; 5-1/8 inches (13 cm)handle-to-handle; and holds 11 ounces ( 325 cc). The Creamermeasures 2-5/8 inches (6.68 cm) tall; 4-1/8 (10.5 cm) inches spout to handle;and holds 8 ounces (237 cc). On the base bottoms are the “real” top-openedwreath “M” Nippon hallmark – Morimura Bros. This is an “original” fineNippon porcelain 3 piece set dating to the 1910’s and from our collectionpurchased in the late 1960’s. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, orscratches. Age related very minor gild wear for this 100 (+) year old sugar andcreamer. Other related pattern pieces available at our store.
