Original Francis Bedford Photograph-Windermere Ferry-Circa 1880 For Sale

This is a truly rare treasure. A photograph taken between 1880 and 1889 by British Photographer Francis Bedford. Mr. Bedford lived from 1812 to 1894. He helped found the Royal Photographic Society in 1853 and has the distinction of being the first photographer to accompany a Royal Tour when he was invited by Queen Victoria on her travels to the Far East in 1862. On February 19, 2009, the Swann Gallery in New York set an sale record for Bedford\'s work: \"Photographic Pictures During The Tour in the East\" which sold for $132,000. The photograph being offered here is approximately 5 x 7 and is mounted on it\'s original 10.5 x 12.5 backing board. It depicts The Windermere Ferry.
