Original WWI US Army Model 1913 Hand Fuze Setter Leather Drum Carry Case by CWA
This is a exceptionally rare find, a U.S. World War I Model 1913 Manual Fuze Carrying Case was designed for the 31-Second Combination Fuse, used in 3.8-inch, 4.7-inch, and 6-inch howitzers.The drum-shaped carry case remains in excellent condition for its age, exhibiting light handling marks, mild edge wear, a small tear at the main retention strap stud hole. And as you can see the carrying strap is missing. The case inside is stamped “1918 / C.W.A.” with no other markings present.
The last photo shows a copy of the original drawing of the case, where you can clearly see the drawing of the object itself, its dimensions, and application.
Thiswill make a great addition to ones Military Collection!!!
